Troop 1085
Troop Info
Our troop is based in Berkley, Michigan, and is part
of the North Trails District in the
Detroit Area Council of
Boy Scouts of America. We meet most Tuesday evenings at
Rogers Elementary School at 7:00 p.m.
Like all Boy Scout Troops, our group focuses on teaching boys values like honor,
responsibility, teamwork, and self reliance. The Boy Scout program is ideal for this task
because it encourages Scouts to learn new skills, work as a group, and assume leadership
roles. All this is accomplished through the effort of the boys and mentoring of our
adult leaders.
Our meetings are run by our Boy Scout leaders with assitance from the adult leaders. Each
meeting we spend time planning campouts and events, working on Scout skills, and having fun.
Camping and Other Activities
Camping is a huge part of Scouting. We normally schedule one campout each month, providing our boys with a wide range of experiences
ranging from local campouts to high adventure opportunities. For examples of campout destinations, please see our Troop Calendar or
our picture page.
We also organize day trips (to places like Cedar Point this year) or the
Detroit Science Center for merit badges.
If you have questions about Troop 1085, please feel free to contact any of the
adult leaders. We would be happy to answer your questions.
